The Walleye Fish Tale: Fishing was tough for this contest. High winds & waves on the bar in front of the Fort. Fishermen headed that way early on but the winds picked up and most moved into the river. Seems the lures of the day were copper colored blades; harness's [copper color] and Sallys. Tomasine caught his big fish on a large copper blade spinner and a black widow sally fly. 35 - 40ft. water depths ~ 15 fish entered; all quality size as most fishermen released fish they knew wouldn't get on the board to qualify. A total 50 Fishermen entered and the furthest away was Fred Lockwood from Southburg Ct.

THE 2010 WALLEYE CLASSIC III CONTEST WILL AGAIN BE HELD TO COINCIDE WITH THE 2010 FISH ODYSSEY

The Fall Lower Niagara River Walleye Classic is being sponsored by A-1 Bait and Outdoors Niagara.
We feature simple rules, same as in our Summer Big Bass Classic. - 100% payback

• 2 fish limit in the interest of conservation
• From Sunup to 2:00 pm
• Scales open from 1:00 to 2:00 only at Fort Niagara Ramp
• Fish Lower Niagara River and red buoy area at Fort Niagara only
• U.S. Canada river waters
• N.Y. State regulations apply
• In the event of a tie the first fish entered will be declared the winner of that entered weight
• Picnic & awards at Fort Niagara to follow [dogs, pop, BYOB]
• 100% Payback after expenses
• ALL persons in boat MUST be registered
• RICHARD FORTIER WILL BE THE OFFICIAL WEIGH MASTER
